Hey Gang -

I just wanted to take a few moments of your time to point you in the direction of my new music blog, which I've been meaning to do for quite some time. It's called Chicago is Mildly Interesting. I figured it make for a nice contrast to Minneapolis Fucking Rocks. I hope you check it out. I've got a review of Head of Femur, a preview of tonight's Oxford Collapse show at the Abbey Pub, video of Sybris performing live on Fearless TV, and more. I hope you check it out and leave a comment telling me what you think. In the meantime, here's a playlist of some of my favorite, lesser-known artists from Chicago. I've also done a Compare-and-contrast Late Greats style thing with "The Ballad of El Goodo", including both Big Star's original and Chicago power-pop group Sunday Runner's cover. I hope you listen and enjoy. I'll very much still be doing this blog, so hakuna matata, music fans young and old. You'll now just have two blogs to read :) (I'm such a doofus).

Listen to songs at the top of the post, then go to Chicago is Mildly Interesting for more, including contact info.
