There are some things I don’t say often enough. One of them is that you owe yourself something. In this case, you owe it to yourself to go download Blitzen Trapper’s new cut, “Furr,” right fucking now. Released late Tuesday night, it’s the first official track Sub Pop released from their forthcoming album of the same name.
Touching on coming-of-age themes in a charming, novel way, “Furr” comes across as every bit an earnest folk song. With subtle vocal production, harmonica á la Bob Dylan and a background of animal calls, Blitzen Trapper puts together a much more honest song than a certain other band I reviewed this week.

I think there's a typo. ("Furr," not "Fate.") But Dr. Dog is lovely as well. :]
Anyhow, I've been diggin' this song for a couple weeks now. It's wondrous.
