Carleton College Assholes Cover Vampire Weekend's "Oxford Comma"
(YouTube via Sterogum)
So let me get this straight: Carleton College has an a-capella choir that covers Super Furry Animals, Beirut, and Timbaland and all St. Olaf, my beloved alma matter and Carleton College rival, can put together is...The Limestones? Seriously? Is This happening? Argh! Somebody get a copy of the new Mountain Goats album to the 'Stones, Stat!
For shame, St. Olaf. For. Shame.

This kind of crap makes me proud that Saint Olaf College is there to drown out the BS coming out of Carleton.
Saint Olaf's choral tradition is not even in the league of this crap.
hehe, great post, I sent this to some of my Olaf friends (2000 grads). One was also a Limestones member for a short time so maybe he has some connections :)

True, but these are a-cappella choirs we're talking about, not touring, or official choirs. I went to half of a Limestones show my freshman year and that was more than enough. Besides, everyone knows that its the orchestra that's the real deal these days. Of course, I'm not biased at all, having been a bassist in the Ole orchestra.
To put it in 80s music terms:
Ole Choir= Bon Jovi
Ole Orchestra= The Replacements

Haha, nice. I'm a 2005 grad. What is your friend's range (tenor, baritone, etc)?
Difference between St. Olaf and Carleton? Money. Their choice in covers proves it.
