New Radiohead Album In Nine Days!

According to the new Radiohead website, the new albums is titled In Rainbows and will be released as a download/compact disc through the band's website on Oct. 10th! There will also be a physical release on Dec. 3rd. The band is planning on doing that one by themselves.
This is extremely exciting news and I can't wait to hear the new album. Click here on Oct. 10th to order it.
Update: You can pre-order the album as a download (wthe price of which is whatever you want to pay) and as a "discbox" which will cost you about 80 bucks. However, this is what you get, according to the website:

I can't wait to see how the industry reacts to this one , as it is a pretty ingenious move on the part of Radiohead's. I think we are witnessing the future of how music will be sold via the internet. This move, along with Stars's move to release their new album three months ahead of schedule, makes it an exciting time to be a music fan. Can't wait to hear the new record in nine days.

Holy shit, when I saw that the record was going to be available in 10 days, I almost freaked. I had totally given in to the fact that I wasn't going to hear the album until sometime in 2008, but to know that I am only days away from hearing it finished is absolutely awesome. I can't wait to stop listening to some of my crappy live recordings, and hear exactly how the band wants it to sound. And even though it is an expensive purcahse, I bought the discbox. I want the extra songs, and I am willing to pay for it (since I have had the luxury of NOT paying for a lot of their live performances, b-sides, etc.) I always pay for their albums. WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOO
I'm very very very very very chuffed.
I can't quite put my finger on why, but I am convinced this is the most genius move a popular band has ever made. They are after all, unsigned.
