Touch and Go Closes Doors

Touch and Go Records announced today that they will be closing up shop. With hopes of putting out music at an undisclosed time down the road, they have for sure shut down their distribution operation, which hurts. Merge, Suicide Squeeze, Flameshovel and Kill Rock Stars all were carried via Touch and Go, so we'll see where that lands.

Here is a sad, yet triumphant, mix of Touch and Go artists that we all should know and love:

*MP3: Shellac - "Watch Song"
*MP3: Brainiac - "I, Fuzzbot"
*MP3: The Ex - "Theme from Konono"
*MP3: Silkworm - "Wild In My Day"
*MP3: Enon - "In This City"
*MP3: Ted Leo - "The Sons of Cain"
*MP3: Pinback - "Bouquet"
*MP3: Calexico - "The Road Back"
*MP3: TV On The Radio - "Wolf Like Me"

What a bummer! Hope they kick out some new jams soon. Thanks for the compilation.
