A Slow Dive With Chicago's Experimental Shoegazers

Download: Zelienople - "Parts Are Lost"

If Bob Dylan and Slowdive did a collaboration, it might sound something like Chicago's Zelienope track "Parts Are Lost". The three-piece experimental/shoegaze band had their record release part about two weeks ago at Chicago's Empty Bottle for their album His/Hers which has been put out by Type Records. I haven't heard the rest of the album yet (hopefully, I can get my mits on it soon) but you can listen to the majestic "Parts Are Lost" on their MySpace page, or just download it at the top of the post.

For those of you who didn't make the Empty Bottle show last month, fear not. The band has another gig coming up on August 17th at Chicago's Subterranean. It's part of the AVXPLO fest which will happen that weekend in Chicago. The festival is dedicated to the best of Chicago's underground visual art and music.

In the meantime, buy His/Hers here.
