Rejoice, Chicago music fans! The Lollapalooza lineup has been announced, and two of Chicago's finest local bands (The 1900s and Chin Up Chin Up) are taking part. Click here for the full lineup, which includes Pearl Jam, TV on the Radio, Snow Patrol, Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals, Iggy and the Stooges, Annuals, and many, many others. Lollapalooza runs August 3rd-5th in Chicago's Grant Park.

I do <3 the 1900s. Hopefully my beloved of Montreal will also be on the lineup... if not, there's always Pitchfork!

I didn't see them listed. But I'd much rather see Of Montreal at Pitchfork, rather than at Lolla. I think that they'd fit the vibe better.
They were on Conan last night and it kinda freaked me out. I caught them completely by accident as I was waiting for Scrub to get in to town. I laughed pretty much the whole time (it was a completely ridiculous staging) but it was such a bad sampling of them. They looked really, really uncomfortable the whole time and never really found a vibe. They seemed to have fun at Lolla last year, but yes, it will be good to see them at a smaller venue.
