Vita.MN announces "The Spirit of 09" New Year's Show

After having just come off of Project, Project, one has to wonder how much more multi-media stimulus a city can take? Vita.MN, the Star-Trib-affiliated arts and entertainment guide, is betting that the answer to that question is "a lot". For New Year's Eve, Vita.MN is planning an extravaganza the likes of which will probably be seen again, assuming that this one is a success, of course.

And there seems to be no reason why "The Spirit of '09" won't be one. It helps, naturally, to have talent like Hercules and Love Affair, Le Castlevania and DJ Klever on the ones-and-twos at various points of the night. Also factoring positively is the fact that the event, taking place on December 31st, 2008 in The Loft space above Barfly, will be hosted by The Moon Goons and feature a live performance by Solid Gold. Hot damn!

Doors open at 8pm and the music begins at 9pm. Show is 18+, and tickets go on sale today here. Tix are $30 for this online presale, so act fast!

The Loft above Barfly will be transformed into a multimedia showcase space with new visual projections courtesy of the talent as well as a new stage set-up and sound system configuration that will blow away those looking for a world-class club experience. Additionally, video crews and photographers will be on-hand to record New Year’s resolutions and catch guests in the act at one of the hottest musical events in the country.
