Pop-rock duo The Secret Dakota Ring are released their second record, Cantarell last week. The twosome may be described as indie-pop by a few, but hearing the Dakota Ring's first single, "The Fade To Black", will remind those listeners of past hit-makers who've either been produced by, or prominently featured, Jeff Lynne. The orchestrations and high harmonies definitely recall a younger, more spry version of Lynne's work with Tom Petty in the late 80s/early 90s and with The Traveling Wilburys around the same time.
