The politically-conscious and politically-active Minneapolis rapper crafts a soulful-rap song that recalls Marvin Gaye's early 70s efforts, with a bite and edge that only hip-hop could provide (i.e., the word "fuck" is used). Ali's joy at the historic victory is barely contained. While he spends the first two verses lauding Obama's achievement, and the fact that the Illinois senator has inspired the downtrodden, Brother Ali, like the President-Elect, says that we have a whole lot more work to do.
