Beck Announces Full-Length Tour

Beck need not feel any guilt, modern or otherwise, about his musical fortunes these days. His eighth studio album, Modern Guilt, which, like 2006's The Information, is an attempt to split the difference between the upbeat, electronic, and hip-hop inspired fare (the pinnacle of which is Odelay) and his more somber, introspective, and acoustic-driven material, was released last week. Naturally, brother's gonna tour. Here be the dates:

8-21 Reno, NV - Grand Sierra Resort and Casino
08-22 San Francisco, CA - Golden Gate Park (Outside Lands Festival)
08-24 Bend, OR - Les Schwab Amphitheater
08-27 Victoria, British Columbia - Royal Theatre
08-28 Vancouver, British Columbia - Orpheum Theatre
08-30 Seattle, WA - Bumbershoot Festival
09-19 San Diego, CA - Street Scene Festival
09-20 Los Angeles, CA - Hollywood Bowl
09-22 Phoenix, AZ - Dodge Theater
09-23 Albuquerque, NM - Kiva Auditorium
09-25 El Paso, TX - Abraham Chavez Theatre
09-27 Austin, TX - Zilker Park (Austin City Limits Festival)
09-29 Kansas City, MO - Uptown Theatre
09-30 Minneapolis, MN - Wilkins Auditorium
10-02 Chicago, IL - Aragon Ballroom
10-03 Chicago, IL - Aragon Ballroom

A two-fer in the Windy City? Now that's something I may have to check out.

Modern Guilt is out now.

He must be going to London; tickets went on sale for Manchester ages ago. I couldn't justify 30 odd quid this time though.

Haley -
Both Wiki and P4K refer to "Modern Guilt" as record number 8. Are you sure those titles you mentioned aren't EPs? Either way, I think I'll change it to eighth official album or something like that. Thx for the correction!

Neil -
30 odd quid is something like 60-70 dollars, yes? The exchange rate when I was there was 2-to-1. I can't imagine it's gotten any better.
