The Dan Bejar-led group kicks off its tour tonight in MPLS. The band is playing shows in support of its latest record, Trouble In Dreams, which mines the same sinewy, lyrical territory as its predecessor, Destroyer's Rubies.

Even if members of Alpha Consumer gave up their day jobs--as players with Andrew Bird and Dosh, respectively--they would still have the neo-shoegaze sounds of their own excellent band to fall back upon. The group, along with Pattern is Movement and Andrew Broder, play a 21+ show tonight at the Turf Club.
