The always-captivating Jason Schwartzman just released his first solo album under the name Coconut Records, and it is actually pretty great. Granted, I said the word "actually," but I had low expectations coming into my first listen because I didn't quite know what to expect due to Schwartzman's transition from music to acting, to acting to music, drumming for Phantom Planet to awesome indie career, etc.
The record is full of super catchy, cutesy songs and may, may even have a cameo from Kirsten Dunst. I really don't know for sure, it just sounds a lot like her.

Schwartzman actually didn't drum for Rooney. He drummed for Phantom Planet. His brother, Robert, was the lead singer and guitarist for Rooney... and Robert also acts. He played a major role in the movie "Princess Diaries".

This album came out a few months ago actually. Did you also get the polaroid that Schwartman took himself? And yes, that's Kirsten Dunst you hear and also Zooey Deschannel.
