An eclectic array of local talent shines Saturday night at the Kitty Cat Klub. First, electronic artist Dissociate, who creates a weave of sounds using various genre reference points--including IDM, trance, and trip-hop. The nom de bleep of Jonathan Ford, Dissociate put out a self-released record this year. Each song is constructed and arranged in real-time from multiple sound sources and looping sequences, so expect an unpredictable set.

Also playing will be Bella Koshka, whose lush, romantic music recalls the best of the 4AD label's output in the 1980s. Rounding up the bill is Japhelt Ba, a chapman stick player from Lakeville who also composes by using loops. Check out video of Ba playing the chapman below.
