Sufjan Stevens and his label Asthmatic Kitty, have announced the Great Sufjan Song Xmas Xchange, wherein you write and record a Christmas song, and if your song is the bestest Christmas song in the world, Sufjan will send you a song in return. Not just any song, either – a brand new song that none of us have ever heard. You'd get the legal rights to it, too. So if you wanted to be an Ebenezer and keep it locked away forever, you could. If you wanted to embody the spirit of Christmas giving and send it to us at MFR to post up, thereby sprinkling the world with a little more holiday joy, you could do that, too.
You have until December 1st to submit your track to Asthmatic Kitty. All the "yadda yadda, we get your first born, yadda yadda" stuff and instructions can be read here. And make sure you read all of that. This label inflicted Shapes and Sizes upon the world; they might try and pull something.

Upon rereading, that is a little ambiguous. No need to get snippy, though.
correction: sufjan stevens and his former stepfather's label, asthmatic kitty. Happy? I mean he's in charge of the brooklyn office according to the website. I always saw it as his in spirit.
...I'm confused as to what I'm supposed to be happy about.

I don't see what's snippy about the original comment. He does have a point, as it is vaguely worded. The "His" in this case works in both contexts, so it shall stand.

I am not a girl. But Sufjan Stevens is. I can tell because she has a high voice and sings songs about xmas, love and feelings instead of bombing Baghdad, salutin' the flag and beating up on homos.
Solidarity on calling everyone else on being a girl, though. Not enough people in this world understand that being called a girl is an insult. They think that there is such a thing as "girl power" or "female empowerment." The truth of the matter is that being a girl is pretty much gay, because only someone gay would have sex with a man.
