A Whole Lot of Clips from "Live Earth"
For your perusal, I have gathered a whole bunch of clips from the Live Earth concerts that took place all around the globe on Saturday the 7th. As you may know, the purpose of these concerts was to raise awareness for global warming and how we can best do our part to eliminate global carbon dioxide emissions. The most remarkable band, in my opinion, is Nunatak, an indie-rock band consisting of scientists from the British Antarctic Survey who are stationed down there. Yes, that’s them actually performing in Antarctica, which is incredibly impressive to me.
Some clips are here because I legitimately enjoyed them (Spinal Tap = glorious!), and others are here merely because I thought they were at the very least noteworthy. Hopefully, there is a performance in this post that you will enjoy.

Spinner also has some fantastic coverage: http://www.spinner.com/category/live-earth/
Number of trees needed to be planted to offset the activities surrounding the global concert series? Roughly 100,000.
I'm pretty sure that Spinal Tap clip alone is worth 75,000 trees. Surely Madonna is worth, like, 3. So that leaves 24,997.
Oh, but on the other hand, John Mayer emits roughly 300,000 trees worth of suck carbon bi-annually.
