Time Out New York Wants To Kill Hipsters

Not literally, of course. Don't get nervous. But click here, and you'll find a whole issue of Time Out New York devoted to how hipsters are ruining New York City's cool. Being a Chicagoan, I obviously can't comment on the New York scene and the hipster's impact upon it. But what I will say is that the issue's manifesto is spot-on, and the "Are You A Hipster?" style quiz is humorous.
For those of you who want to know, my score on the quiz was "I Shop at Urban Outfitters and Listen to The Cure," which apparently means that I have some sense of style and decent musical taste, but cannot fully be considered a hipster because I have, uh, "a job."
I think I can live with that.

That was hilarious. I'm kind of surprised how truly "unhip" I am by their standards. Maybe TimeOut Chicago should do a Chi-Town version? Hmmm. Among the questions:
-Do you live in Wicker Park?
-Have you eaten at Lula in the past month?
-Do you ride a fixed gear bike?
Etc.
